Maintenance Technician I

Description & Qualifications
Starting Range: $21 - $26 per hour + excellent benefits after 60 days
This is a full-time entry level Maintenance Tech position for a dependable general laborer to perform a variety of semi-skilled general labor duties including grounds & building maintenance, operating a variety of vehicles & light and heavy equipment, use of hand and power tools, and basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical. Communicates pleasantly and effectively; works well under pressure; organizes and prioritizes tasks; and assists with day-to-day activities.
A successful candidate must be able to perform strenuous activity for prolonged periods of time in various weather conditions from extreme hot to extreme cold; have the flexibility to be on-call during inclement weather and to work alternate shifts including weekends for snow removal, mowing, and other special projects. Able to operate airport vehicles and clearly communicate and understand radio transmissions in English. Possess basic knowledge of equipment repair and commercial property maintenance.
Typical work schedule is 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements
Valid Colorado Driver’s License, High School diploma or GED. Previous experience in any of the following activities: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, sprinkler repair, preventive vehicle maintenance, janitorial, heavy equipment operation, or radio communications. One year airport maintenance experience is preferred. FAA 10-year criminal background check may be required.
