Centennial Airport—Colorado’s Exclusive Stop for World’s First Certified Electric Trainer Aircraft

Swiss aerospace company H55 showcases the B23 Energic on its U.S. “Across America” tour

Centennial Airport is proud to announce its role as the exclusive Colorado stop for H55 Across America, the U.S. tour of the B23 Energic — the world’s first certified Part-23 electric trainer aircraft. As one of only eight stops nationwide, Centennial Airport will host this groundbreaking aircraft from Wednesday, July 2 through Sunday, July 13, 2025, marking a milestone in the evolution of sustainable aviation.

The B23 Energic, developed by Swiss-based aerospace pioneer H55, represents a new era of clean, quiet, electric flight. Featuring 70 minutes of endurance and powered by H55’s proprietary electric propulsion and battery systems, the two-seater aircraft has already made history as the first certified electric trainer of its kind.

During its time at Centennial Airport, the B23 Energic will be based at jetCenters of Colorado, with demonstration flights scheduled from Saturday, July 5 through Saturday, July 12. The tour gives aviation professionals, flight schools, and sustainability advocates a firsthand look at what’s next for pilot training and regional flight.

“We are honored to be the only airport in Colorado — and one of just eight in the entire country — chosen to host the B23 Energic,” said Michael Fronapfel, Executive Director at Centennial Airport. “Hosting the B23 Energic aligns perfectly with Centennial Airport’s vision to lead the way in sustainable general aviation, and to support innovative technologies that help move our industry toward quieter skies and a cleaner future. As one of the nation’s busiest general aviation airports, we’re committed to working with stakeholders across the aviation community to explore and implement meaningful sustainability initiatives.”

H55’s mission is to enable the aviation industry to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions through advanced electric propulsion systems. With over two decades of electric flight experience and 14 world records to their name, H55 is leading the global effort toward cleaner skies. The Across America tour brings that mission directly to U.S. runways, airports, and the next generation of aviators.
