Centennial Airport Foundation Announces Three Inaugural Scholarship Recipients
The Centennial Airport Foundation is proud to announce the inaugural Scholarship Program recipients, marking a major milestone in the Foundation’s mission to inspire and empower the next generation of aviation and aeronautical professionals.
Thanks to the generosity of Foundation donors and the success of the annual Centennial Airport Runway 5K community fundraiser, the Foundation is expanding its impact by offering its own scholarship awards. Each year, three scholarships of up to $10,000 are awarded to students pursuing careers in aviation management, professional piloting, and aircraft maintenance.
This year’s recipients are (left to right):
- Tatum Rasmussen, recipient of the Aircraft Maintenance/A&P Mechanic Scholarship, will pursue her education at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
- Alexander Buchanan, awarded the Professional Pilot Scholarship, will continue his flight training at Western Air Flight Academy.
- Jacob Ablanczy, selected for the Robert P. Olislagers Memorial Scholarship for Aviation Management, will study at Metropolitan State University of Denver. This award honors the legacy of Robert Olislagers, former Centennial Airport Director and a nationally recognized leader in aviation.
The Scholarship Program allows recipients to develop their skills and reach key milestones in their career paths. With this support, Tatum, Alexander, and Jacob are now one step closer to becoming leaders in their fields, helping to ensure the continued growth, safety, and innovation of the aviation industry.
The Centennial Airport Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing aviation through education, outreach, and community engagement. For more information about the Foundation, visit www.centennialairport.com/foundation
